CIC Director Board: Poetry Into Light

Dr Guinevere Clark

Founder of Poetry Into Light, Guinevere teaches creative writing at the Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing - exploring the poetics of motherhood, sexuality and place, and developed a creative writing analysis model. In 2025 she won The Hammond House International Literary Prize. Other achievements and publications include: shortlisting and highly commended awards from Poetry London Pamphlet Competition, Cinnamon Press Literary Award, The Wales Poetry Award, Nature Chronicles Prize, Ambit, Magma, Poetry Wales and Demeter Press, among others. Her first collection is Fresh Fruit & Screams (Bluechrome, 2006). She works on community creative writing projects, curates and edits poetry anthologies, co-produces open mics and is co-editor for the Canadian feminist journal Demeter Press. Guinevere has CIC director experience in a dance company, co-running projects with European Social, local council and National Lottery funding. She holds a BA in Creative Arts and studies Creative Producing and Arts Management at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Dr Peter Morgan Barnes

Peter holds a PhD in English Literature. He is an opera librettist, playwright and theatre director. Recent published histories include Pasticcio Opera in Britain: history and context (Manchester University Press, 2023). Peter has three opera commissions from the National Museum of Wales to include Llywelyn Fawr, y llew yn y llun (2020). He has research interests in historical revisionism, gender theory and performance art and is also a board member for other arts bodies including The Big Bash Music Company (Canterbury), the Belfast Festival of Performance Art (University of Ulster) and Giardani delle Storie, (Rome).  Peter brings experience of being on trust charities and limited company boards and an enthusiasm for artistic development at all levels.

Dr Perry Wyatt

Perry Wyatt is an author, poet, and screenwriter from Wales who recently completed her PhD study in Young Adult Fiction. She has published two books Secrets of Baker Street: The Curious Adventures Of The Real Holmes And Watson (2021, Orange Pip Books) and Our Strange Symphony (2022, Kindle) and is currently working on another YA adventure fantasy. Alongside this, she has published numerous poems in literary magazines worldwide, including Corporeal Magazine and The Bibliopunk Lit Zine. She also recently received a Highly Commended Award at the National Film Festival of Wales for her horror screenplay ‘Bite Back’. Perry provides valuable help with our online zines and publications as well as assisting with youth projects. Perry runs a new Welsh Press - These Pages Sing and is forming her first poetry collection.

Associates Board Poetry Into Light

We are happy to welcome new members and are very pleased to be introducing our new Associates with a wealth of skills in marketing, creative writing, community art, publishing and business development.

Gavin Byron Harris

Gavin has a BA in Media Communication with Cultural Studies from Bath Spa University. He’s an experienced, award-winning PR and Digital Marketing consultant and copywriter. Gavin has written poetry and lyrics since childhood, often inspired by his Swansea location. He produced more poems during lockdown in 2020 and has carried on ever since. He has recently launched a new venture offering commissions and performances, under the brand name of The Everyday Poet. His influences include Dylan Thomas, Pam Ayres and Brian Bilston. He’s completed several poetry courses at the Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea and is excited to develop his passion for poetry for himself and others through a variety of mediums. He recently collaborated on a Grand Ambition CIC project alongside Guinevere, helping The Wallich Charity on a song, creative writing and performance event with The Choir with No Name. Gavin brings experience in business, marketing and commercial writing to Poetry Into Light and has helped develop the group's Green Growth Pledge. He is currently working on marketing for the CIC.

Natalie Ann Holborow

Natalie is an award-winning poet, marketer and previous editor of the Cheval anthology for young writers in Wales. She was the winner of both the Terry Hetherington Award and Robin Reeves Prize in 2015 and has been shortlisted and commended for various other awards including the Bridport Prize, the National Poetry Competition and the Cursed Murphy Spoken Word Award. Her debut collection, And Suddenly You Find Yourself (Parthian, 2017) was launched at the Kolkata International Book Festival and was listed as one of Wales Arts Review's Best of 2017. Her second poetry collection is Small, published by Parthian, 2020 and her latest collection is Little Universe. She has just launched her first prose book Wild Running. Natalie has a MA in Creative Writing from Swansea University. She is a proud patron of local charity The Leon Heart Fund and runs marathons and cycles to raise funds. Natalie supports Poetry Into Light at readings, on marketing campaigns and as a valued poetic friend and inspiration to the director board and was one of our founding directors.

Poetry Into Light is open to new associate members at intervals throughout the year.

Our WINTER 2025/26 call out is for NEW members who may be keen to develop our newsletter system and offer support in new project plans and marketing.

Thankyou to all our volunteers who have given time on artwork, proofreading and event documentation as we incrementally build our foundations.
